It's that time of the year again. The ubiquitous red arrow signs are up around Washington County. The mall is buzzing with a line of eager ticket-holders-to-be that extends from one end to the other. And tomorrow at 10 am the fun finally begins with the kickoff to the 2012 St. George Parade of Homes.
This 22nd annual Parade of Homes features an unprecedented 28 homes on the tour, ranging from $269,900 - $1,865,000. Apparently the builders this year wished to feature more mid-range priced homes than in years past, excluding town homes and multi-million dollar properties from this year's list, much to the editors' dismay. Since the 2009 show-stopper $3,000,000+ house in Santa Clara that featured an underground basketball court and rock climbing wall, the Parade has been hurting to provide visitors with even half the spectacle.
For the first time in the Parade's history, St. George Shuttle has teamed up with St. George Parade of Homes to offer visitors a $25 per person hop-on-hop-off experience of the entire parade route. We'll ask visitors who opt for the shuttle system to describe their experience regarding the frequency and convenience of the shuttles starting tomorrow.
We'll be providing up-to-date coverage and reviews of each of the Homes featured this year, so make sure to check back often for the official "ah's" and "faux pas" of the 2012 St. George Parade of Homes, 10 am- 7 pm February 17-25 and 10 am - 5 pm February 26.
