Home #3 - Out of Bounds

1530 West Shinnecock Drive, St. George, UT
It's always a pleasant drive out to the Ledges Golf Course area, north of  the main city of St. George on Hwy 18 a few miles.  The Ledges is a relatively new development situated next to Winchester Hills and really nothing else.  The feeling of isolation definitely abounds out there and the nearest gas station or grocery shop is a lonely drive all the way back to the main city of St George.  But if all you need is a second home in a secluded getaway golf spot, this is for you.  The home we visited in this area has great curb appeal, featuring an in-law casita separated from the rest of the house by a pleasant courtyard with a fire pit.

Grooves in the granite counter top by the sink for water runoff.  Very smart.

What?  A TV pops out of the bed?  The blurry man in the right of this picture said, "I almost feel like the TV would be too close."  I've never heard a man complain about that before.

Copper sink basin under a granite slab counter.  I like it.

Here's where I began to feel like there was TOO much copper, though.  I would feel rusty if  I took a bath in this kettle...I'm sorry.

Nice oval mirror above another copper  basin sink.  I like the scale of it all for a powder room.

Here's a new trend I've been noticing...a valance and curtain set above the bed as sort of a faux canopy.  We liked the headboard doubling as a shelf for accessories.  All in all, well done in the master bedroom.
