The Fun Begins

We headed over to the mall at 3 pm today to get our tickets for the St. George Parade of Homes today and to our surprise the line was still pretty slow moving.  Judging by the fact that the traffic doubled in St. George since yesterday and all of the restaurants on St. George Boulevard were jammed with ticket and lanyard wearing people, I'd take it all as a sign that this year's Parade of Homes has drawn quite a crowd!

A representative from the St. George Shuttle explained to all of us standing in line how the shuttle system works - passengers board in a big group and they head on down the road starting with House 1, then passengers hop out and get 30 minutes to look around (or less if the whole group decides they're done earlier), and then passengers pile back in and head to House 2, etc.  There were no takers for the shuttle service in our line and we never saw a shuttle at any of the houses, so there is still no word on how visitors like the shuttle system this year.

This year we're rating each home in four categories: exterior, floor plan, interior design, and neighborhood.  A "five flag" rating is the best; a "one flag" is a true flop.  We visited 3 homes today and individual reviews plus pictures of each house will appear in the following posts.  If you have visited the houses too please feel free to leave comments with your own ratings!  Even if you can't attend, let us know what you think of the houses based on the pictures alone.  We want to hear from you!
