Home #2 - Dream Weaver

So here we are at Home #2, which has a great view off towards Rainbow Ridge.  It's a 4,608 sq ft. home with two levels, one above ground and the other below.  I can't get over how here in St. George the trend is to steer as clear as possible from having a true 2nd story in a house, but whatever!

When you first enter at the left there is a bedroom or office.  The shape of the room is one complicated polygon  so unless you want your guests to go crazy from weird feng shui, you'd have to just use this as an office.

I'm sorry, but for a $449,900 home they couldn't afford granite slabs on the sink counter tops in the bathrooms?  These are the cheapest possible tiles from Lowes with 1/4" grout lines in between  posing as the counter top.  No thanks!

Very awkward curio cabinet/mini buffet in with the kitchen.  When you need to use up that much space, you know you're just being gluttonous buying a 4,600+ sq ft house in the first place.

What do you notice first in this picture?  Oh wait you can't see anything because it's too dark?  Yeah, that's how it feels  in the entire house.  Dark, dingy wall color choice throughout.

Here's the rec area when you first walk down the stairs into the basement.  It's a lot of space, but it's not a welcoming space, really.

Just to the left there was a surprise man sitting completely by himself in the dark who did not talk to us but stared at us the whole time we were getting this picture.  Anyway, here's the theater room!

An additional weird feature of the house was the weird juxtaposition of paint colors...burgundy and tan cut the living room in half and then came to an abrupt halt at the kitchen with a muted teal.  The colors made such an enormous house feel so small.  What a shame!
